News from the Rector Concerning St. Peter's Catholic School

Parishioners and Friends of Saint Peter's:

Mrs. Aubrey Wall resigned her position as principal of our school earlier this week in order to spend more time with her family and to eventually pursue other vocational opportunities. Aubrey came to us six years ago and brought with her youthful enthusiasm and a zeal for Saint Peter’s. During her tenure, we added first a 3K and subsequently a 2K program which have proven extremely sought after by many Saint Peter’s parents. I look forward to baptizing Aubrey’s baby, Alice, and am excited her older children, Felix and Heidi, will remain in our school. We express our thanks for Aubrey’s service and wish her and her husband, Brodie, every blessing as her work expands in other directions.

We’re very thankful that Mrs. Kylie Skotniski, Director of Learning Support, has stepped up to serve as Interim Principal. Mrs. Skotniski joined our staff last August, having been a school parent and Basilica parishioner already for several years, bringing with her a wealth of experience in education and administration. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and love for Saint Peter's have been a blessing and she, along with Mrs. Renee Emery, Admissions Director, have provided outstanding leadership during Mrs. Wall’s recent maternity leave. I am confident the school will continue to thrive in their care until our next principal is found.

I share all this with you as St. Peter's Catholic School is an integral aspect of our ministry and I know that you, like I, wish for it to flourish and help many deepen their faith in Christ as they grow both in secular knowledge and love of God.

Fraternally,

Fr. Gary S. Linsky

The Very Rev'd Canon Gary S. Linsky, V.F., V.P.

Rector
