Join our team! Coordinator of Youth Ministry (Part-time)
The Basilica of Saint Peter is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Catholic with a heart to serve the teens and youth of our Church as our part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry!
Primary responsibilities include leading a youth program and guiding high school teens of grades 9-12 towards Christ faithfully by the Church teachings. Hours are flexible, however availability on Wednesday evenings is necessary.
Ideal qualifications include experience in youth ministry, an earned Bachelor's degree in youth ministry, religious studies or theology, or a relevant combination of experience and education. Bilingual in Spanish a bonus.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
Coordinate a youth program that fosters a personal relationship with Christ through spiritual formation, community building, service opportunities, and catechesis.
Ability to minister Catholic formation and discipleship with high school teenagers between the ages of 14-17.
Facilitate and be present at youth gatherings and events.
Oversee aspects of youth ministry including communications via email.
Work with adult and teen volunteers.
Driven, motivated, and shares a passion for working with youth/teens.
Active and practicing Catholic striving to build his/her own personal relationship with Christ.
Good organizational skills.
Good communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish a bonus.
