Join fellow parishioners for an educational, inspirational, and interactive class on the wines of South Africa! Since the end of Apartheid, South Africa has re-emerged as an innovative, quality-driven, and diverse wine producer. Learn about its 300-year-old legacy of winemaking and how pioneering young wine makers have made South Africa one of the most exciting--and most underrated--wine regions of the world. Enjoy a flight of 7 wines with light fare while Erlinda A. Doherty, Sommelier+ Wine Columnist + Wine Educator, guides us through this lively event. All adults of the parish are invited. Based on attendance, we will assess interest in a periodic gathering of adults who are beyond the young professional age and seek an opportunity for discussion similar to the “tapping theology” initiative.
